Back-To-School Fashion Must Haves

Going back to school is probably my favorite time of the year because of shopping! But sometimes what can be stressful is knowing what to buy so you look cute for the school year. This list will make sure you look good on the outside, and feel like Regina George in the inside!

1) Kimono Is Not A No-No
Originating from Japanese tradition, this is definitely a statement piece and can add a lot of character to a simple outfit. It can make the whole outfit seem breezy or even professional.

2) Black Leggings/ Tights
This piece is so versatile that you can pair it under a fall dress, or with the cutest winter sweater. I feel like its not even important for me to mention these, because what is life without black leggings.

3. Midiful Pencil Skirts

This is absolutely gorgeous in any season, and can be paired with any top. One of the best pairs is one with a peter pan collar. It can add a lot of character to an outfit. When buying a midi pencil skirt, make sure it is fit for your body type.

4. Flaring Fashion

Yes, they are back! These fashionable jeans create an elongating look, and make you look slimmer without weeks of exercise. You can pair them with a top for a summery feel, or with a maroon sweater for fall. These are a year-around staple piece.

5. Infinity and Beyond

Just kidding, only to the store to buy infinity scarves! These scarves are so in style, and can help you dress an outfit up or down. Another plus about these, they are so cheap! You can pick one up for about $12 and wear them many different ways.

6. Out-Of-The-State Statement Necklace

These necklaces add the cutest bit of flare and chic to your outfits. This is like a lot of the other items on this list, very versatile and can be dressed up or down.

7. Leather/Jean Jacket

This is a very important staple piece that goes with literally all seasons and all outfits. If you don't have this, then I don't know what you're doing. Or you could get the perfect mixture of a jean and leather!

7 Fabulous Organizational Tips To Start Off The Year RIGHT

Hey guys!

Summer is nearly over, sadly. Sigh.

Yup, I'm going to miss the long lazy days where I rarely change out of my PJs and hardest question I'd have to answer all day would involve what to eat. Now I'm obligated to be "productive" and stay "focused" and crap.

Which lets face it, is a struggle for most people. You have to pick up all the slack you cut yourself during the summer and get things in order for the new year, because even though no one WANTS summer to end, you have to at least act the part, so you don't look like a total unprepared mess.

BUT ITS OKAY BECAUSE I AM HERE TO SAVE YOU!

Stay tuned as the most disorganized person in the world provides you with...

7 ORGANIZATIONAL TIPS FOR A FABULOUS NEW SCHOOL YEAR!

Darn it--HSM makes me miss summer all over again! Let's get started.

1. Keep extra everything in your locker.

Literally everything. Erasers, paper, lead, earbuds--anything you bought in the beginning of the year, make sure you have a backup in your locker. That way, if you forget something or run out halfway through the day, you won't have to borrow from a friend or be unprepared to your next class, which always looks bad!

2. Take advantage of your phone.

Yup, that's right. All those snoozeville pre-downloaded applications actually come in handy.

The iOS Calendar App is a great way to keep track of all your activities. And unlike an assignment notebook or planner, you don't have to worry about it ripping, getting lost, or running out of space to write. And plus, you can set up alerts to remind you 20 minutes before so you have time to get ready!

You can also take advantage of the Notes app, which is a great place to jot down assignments. You can also add photos to your notes, if you need a visual reminder.

3. Write the subjects on the sides of your notebooks so you can read them when they're stacked in your locker.

This will save you a TON of time during passing periods scrambling to get your stuff together. Color coding your notebooks is also a good idea.

4. Make sure you have an alarm clock that does the job.

While your phone might be a simple and obvious alarm clock, it's way too easy to turn off, and depending on your ringer it may just lull you back to sleep.

Manual alarm clocks work better for some people, while others can't stand the sound of digital buzzers. Find what works for you! Try out a few different ones during the summer so that you don't risk messing up your first day of school due to a faulty alarm clock!

5. Carry a bag with you.

Whether it's a backpack or a purse, it's good to have a place to stash your stuff wherever you go. Especially with jean pockets that never seem to hold anything! Carrying a bag is a convenient, safe place to hold your lunch money, notebooks, and anything else you might need. It also leaves your hands free, which in turn makes you look more like you've got it together.

6.  Use a locker shelf.

It'll help you stack your things to make the most of space, plus you can put your backpack on top to keep it from getting caught in the bottom as you close it.

7. Plan your playlist and outfit the night before.

Saving you the rush in the morning, and giving your mood a lift as you start your way to school!
